738 DAYS, my first New Adult novel, will be out July 2016 with Tor.
Here’s a short description from the PM* announcement: “‘The Ghost and the Goth’ author Stacey Kade’s debut 738 DAYS, about an abducted teen who, at nineteen, two years after her return home, is still suffering from anxiety and agoraphobia when a publicity stunt throws her together with the former TV heartthrob whose poster was her only friend in captivity, raising the possibility that they might be the only ones who can save each other.”
My first YA contemporary, LIFE, AFTER, will be out in Fall 2016 with Simon & Schuster.
Here’s a short description from the PM* announcement: “Christian Trimmer at Simon & Schuster has bought world English rights to [Life, After], a contemporary novel by Stacey Kade, in a pre-empt. It’s the story of the teenage son of a mega-church pastor who survives a car accident that kills his twin, leaving him with questions and doubts, and the mysterious girl who turns out to be only one of his brother’s secrets. Publication is scheduled for spring 2016; Suzie Townsend at New Leaf Literary & Media was the agent.”
Coming in 2017: FINDING FELICITY
FINDING FELICITY features a high school senior whose full and thriving—and fictional—social life began with one little lie to appease her mother and comes crashing down when none of her “friends”—all characters from old TV shows—come to her graduation party; now if she wants to convince her mother she’ll be fine at college without a team of psychiatrists, she’ll need to reinvent herself and make friends of the three-dimensional variety.
