I’m super excited to share with you the cover for Body & Soul, the final book in The Ghost and the Goth series. I feel incredibly blessed having had such amazing covers for the entire series–a HUGE thank you to Hyperion, my awesome editor Christian Trimmer, and all the designers: Jennifer Jackman, Walker Brockington, and Marci Senders. Also, the models who represented Alona and Will on all three books are just fantastic. They are everything I hoped and imagined Will and Alona to be. And I hope one day to be able to thank them for that! πŸ™‚

Okay, so without any further ado…

As I said in my email to my editor, this cover is everything it should be! I love it so much. And yes, it made me all teary-eyed when I saw it.

Will and Alona are holding hands!!! Oh! I just love it. And see how the two of them are looking at each other? There’s such affection and fondness and maybe more…

And that beautiful light at the end of the hall…so perfect.

Obviously, I’m just a wee bit emotional about this cover (I LOVE IT!) And I hope you all feel the same! πŸ™‚

(Side note: I did find out today that there WILL be a new cover on the paperback for Queen of the Dead, so we will have one more cover announcement for the series in coming months! I’ve seen it already and it is very cool!)

I’m soooo not kidding when I say this:

A sob escaped from my throat when I saw it. And as I write, my fingers are shaking a little.

I love this series soooooooooo so much, but the covers are infinitely epic. They’re my favorite covers EVER! because they represent so well the story within.

I think I mentioned once that if I were the tattoo type of gal, I would so get these covers tattooed on my back. FULL SIZE.

*wipes tears away* Thank you for sharing, Stacey! <3
    *wipes one more lonely tear*

Melannie, I feel the same way! πŸ™‚ I’m going to check into the possibility of getting some posters made of the cover to give away, if people are interested.

Oh my goodness — this is absolutely GORGEOUS! Love the whole light-at-the-end-of-the-hall, and you’re right, the handholding is perfect. WOW. My mind = blown. <3 it!

Oooh, and now I’m super-eager to see the PB for Queen of the Dead, too! Is it the same style, with the two models, or is it a different approach?

Oh my gosh, it’s so beautiful!! I’m pretty sure I disturbed library patrons by squeeing so loudly.
I can not WAIT until Body & Soul comes out.
Also if you do talk to the models who play Alona and Will, convey from us fans that they’re totally fabulous. And you’re right! Perfect for your characters!

    (And OMGCUTE they’re holding hands!!)

Oh, I so wish I could let the models know. They are so PERFECT. I guess I just have to hope that one day they will make contact!

And the handholding…it’s AWESOME, right? πŸ˜€

Stacey~ thanks for providing me with your wonderfull amazing book. At first I just looked at the first book and walked by though i take a look at the cover, which interested me. So i took it and checked it out. I read it in one or two days, ( usually I read faster, but I had school ) and guess what….. I loved it!!!! Once i finished reading it, I think a tear went down to ze ground into China Town. Anyways I loooked and looked for your second book all over ( my school , and Barnes n noble ) but they didn’t have it. Then i got the book on my iPod touch ( I books ) and I finished reading it yesterday. I started reading it around one or two and finished it about 10 at night ( I was so pissed off when my iPod touch died. πŸ‘Ώ ) so please try just a teensy bit harder to get the book done faster, MAY grrr I just I have no patience ya know? And your probably reading the reviews and thinking ” I should try making the book faster, ( for my wonderful fans ) but I do not want to rush. ” I don’t want you to rush, so take your time ( but not a WHOLE lot of time )
. Like one Time I loved a book and the next book was coming out A YEAR LATER. Please dont take a year, thanks. If you reply to me, can you suggest any other of your books to me? Because I don’t have that much wfi and it took me ten minutes to get on this site….. Thanks

      Hi Alyssa!
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the books so far! πŸ™‚

May will be here before you know it, I promise. And believe me, I know how it is to wait for the next book in a series to come out. I go through that with all of my favorite series to read! πŸ™‚ I want them ALL NOW! But it just takes time for them to be written, designed, printed, assembled, etc.

The good thing is that means we’ve always got something to look forward to. Or, at least, that’s how I try to think of it. πŸ˜‰

As for more books of mine, this my only series at the moment. And the next one is the LAST one in the trilogy. *sniff* I will, however, have a new series starting in 2013 with THE RULES.

If you’re looking for something to read in the meantime, though, I have a list of some of my favorites here:

And I highly recommend Jeri Smith-Ready’s Shade and Shift.

      Hope that helps! πŸ™‚
