She's disappearing and going home to take care of her unfinished business. If he doesn't kiss her now, the opportunity is lost forever. Plus, she'd just finished talking to him about the things he needs to do, trying to help him, clearly caring about him more than he ever thought possible. I'm not sure if wrote a version from Will's POV or not. :) I did that in the beginning a lot, wrote from both perspectives to see which I liked better. But by the end, I was pretty well set in a pattern, I think. But I'll check.
